Amazon Ads & Retail Media Manager

About the Role:

Beam is looking for a data-driven Amazon Ads & Retail Media Manager to own and scale our Amazon advertising, Instacart and Retail Media accounts. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who lives and breathes in daily Amazon and retail media PPC — the kind of person who gets excited about finding the next untapped keyword, out-maneuvering competitors, and turning ad spend into profitable, compounding growth. You will have a holistic view and POV on omnichannel impact and the halo effect that each channel has on the business. This person will own management and performance, with your decisions directly shaping both our organic and paid results across Amazon, Instacart and other retail media accounts.

Reporting to the Marketplaces Lead, you'll operate as a key individual contributor with room to grow into a senior or lead role as our portfolio expands. You'll collaborate closely with our creative, performance marketing, marketplaces and sales teams to make sure every campaign is set up to win — and you'll be the internal expert everyone turns to on all things retail media and Amazon advertising.

What You’ll Do: 

• Campaign Management & Innovation: Own the day-to-day execution of Amazon PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display), Instacart and other retail media platforms, while staying on the cutting edge of new keyword, targeting, and placement opportunities — testing emerging ad formats, beta features, and trends to keep the account ahead of the competition.
• Performance Analysis & Optimization: Closely monitor ROAS, TACoS, and CAC alongside search term reports, impression share, conversion/CTR, and Brand Analytics/SQP data paired with sales— translating insights into concrete actions like scaling winners, cutting wasted spend, keyword negating, and reallocating budget to maximize profitable growth and organic rank.
• DSP & Full-Funnel Strategy: Build and manage Amazon DSP campaigns — developing audience segments, retargeting flows, and programmatic display/video strategies that work alongside Sponsored Ads to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion across the funnel.
• Growth & Market Share: Expand reach through non-brand and competitor conquesting campaigns (where allowed), driving month-over-month profitable growth in ad sales and improved keyword rank on priority terms, while staying in budget.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative, performance marketing, sales, and marketplaces teams to align on budget, ad strategy, and best performing creative - to ensure campaigns are always set up to convert.

Who You Are: 

• Amazon Advertising Expert: 2-3 years managing Amazon PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display) with a proven track record of hitting ROAS, TACoS, and CAC targets while scaling profitable ad spend; hands-on Amazon DSP experience strongly preferred.
• Retail Media & Omnichannel Hacker: 1-3 years of hands-on keyboard experience with retail media platforms like Instacart, Criteo, Roundel, WMC and/or others, with launch and growth experience.
• Analytical & Technical: Strong command of Amazon advertising and retail media metrics and reporting — comfortable analyzing search term reports, impression share, and Brand Analytics/SQP data in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and translating data into actionable optimizations. Experience leveraging AI tools like Claude to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, and surface insights faster is a strong plus.
• Growth-Minded: Always hunting for the next opportunity — new keywords, targeting angles, ad formats, and competitor conquesting plays — with the curiosity to test and the discipline to scale what works.
• Results-Oriented: Obsessed with efficiency and profitability; you measure your success in ROAS, TACoS, CAC, and incremental revenue, not just clicks and impressions, while understanding the impacts to the larger business.
• Self-Starter & Collaborator: Highly organized and able to independently own a portfolio, while communicating clearly and working cross-functionally with creative, performance marketing, and marketplaces teams.
